Combating Issues Associated With Obesity And Over Weight

The FDA has approved Alli as the first ever weight loss supplement to be approved for over-the-counter sale without a doctor's approval.

Commenting on the move, Shaping America, a non-profit foundation of The American Diabetes Association stated, "While Shaping America's Health recognizes this development as an important strategy in combating issues associated with obesity and over weight, it is important that people embrace the fact that proper diet and exercise are the cornerstones of good health. That said, weight loss medications (such as Alli) can be an important adjunct to these approaches in those who meet established criteria."

The Alli weight loss supplement will be available this summer.
